The City of Murrieta is one of the youngest cities in the Inland Empire. Population

According to the 2000 census there were 44,282 people residing in the city of Murrieta. By 2007 Murrieta's population skyrocketed to an estimated 97,257.

Transportation

Covering 28.4 square miles, Murrieta is located along the I-15/I-215 Freeway, south of the Riverside County line and north of San Diego county line.

Parks & Outdoor Recreation

California Oaks Sports Park
A 20 acre park with many amenities which include barbecue's, baseball fields, basketball court, picnic tables, soccer fields, softball fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, and volleyball courts.

Los Alamos Hills Sports Park
Murrieta's newest parks. A 46 acre park with amenities that include barbecues, baseball fields, bike path, concession, football field, and softball fields.

Antelope Hills Park
A 60 acre park with nature walk trails, open grass areas, amphitheater, barbecue, basketball court and picnic tables.

Baseball, softball and soccer league's
Murrieta's leagues meet year in the spring and fall.

Arts and Entertainment
All throughout Murrieta you will find dance studios, sports bars, a movie theater and a bowling alley for the entire family.

Shopping & Dining

In down town Murrieta there are many shopping and dining options. There are many options of shopping centers all thru out Murrieta to find what you're looking for. To include the California Oaks, Murrieta Hot Springs and Madison Avenue area. All of these shopping centers are conveniently located off of the I-15 and I-215.

Neighborhoods

Bear Creek Community
Bear Creek is a private gated community with an 18 hole golf course located in the hills of Murrieta. Common amenities of the Bear Creek master community include an Olympic size swimming pool, spa, weight room, cardio room, clay and concrete tennis courts and bocce courts. Students living the Bear Creek will attend school in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.

Granite Gate Community
Granite Gate is a gated community off of the I-215. It offers a private community park and green belts for relaxation. Granite Gate is located in the Menifee Union School District. There are new nearby shopping centers still in construction along with the Los Alamos and California Oaks Area.

Greer Ranch Community
Greer Ranch is a gated community located in the hills of Murrieta off of I-215. Greer Ranch is surrounded by a nature trail to enjoy a relaxing hike. Greer Ranch is located in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.

Skyview Ridge Community
Skyview Ridge is a master community with amenities to include a community pool, spa and park along with walkways for relaxation. Skyview Ridge is part of the Menifee and Perris Union School District. The nearby shopping centers include Los Alamos and California Oaks centers off the I-15 and I-215.

The Colony Community
The Colony is a gated and guarded community located in the heart of Murrieta off of I-15. The Colony has an 18 hole golf course and amenities includes a pool, tennis courts, fitness center, restaurant, library, computer center, billiards and beauty salon. This grand community is close to shopping centers, restaurants and city parks. Murrieta's schools near The Colony Community include E. Hale Curran Elementary, Shivela Middle School and Vista Murrieta High School.

Creekside Village Community
Creekside Village community is located on the east side of the Murrieta right off Kobe Place. It features the Park Lane and Wyndham Place neighborhoods. Students that live in Creekside Village will attend Alta Murrieta Elementary, Warm Springs Middle and Vista Murrieta High school. These neighborhoods are also closely located to major shopping centers, Murrieta Plaza, Murrieta Town Center and Murrieta Village Center.

Sonrisas Townhomes Community
Sonrisas Townhomes community is located in the heart of Murrieta, at Washington and Lemon. It features two residence options. New students would attend Murrieta Elementary, Thompson Middle and Murrieta Valley High School. These new Sonrisas attached townhomes are located near shopping centers such as Village Walk Plaza, Madison Square and Murrieta Spectrum.

Spencer's Crossing Community
Spencer's Crossing Community is located in the out skirt of Murrieta in the French Valley Area. It features the Rockwell, Livingston and Hathaway neighborhoods. The Spencer's Crossing Community will feature its own recreation center, an Olympic size swimming pool, parks and shopping. Students living in these neighborhoods will attend Murrieta Valley unified School District, Menifee Union School District and the Perris Union High School District. They will also share common shopping area, such as Silverhawk Shopping area, The Plaza at Silverhawk and Mesa Village Shopping Cener.
