Overview
Hemet sits at the base of Mt. San Jacinto, with her snow capped peaks a backdrop for stunning vistas that extend for miles across the valley floor. Originally settled as a farming community, the dairy industry remains vital and strong in the Hemet Valley, with several major corporations as well as local suppliers maintaining operations there. Hemet is also home to the Ramona Pageant, California's only Official Outdoor Play and longest running stage production, making the city a culturally vibrant and entertaining community that draws thousands of visitors each year.

Transportation
Hemet is located in the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley and is accessed by State Highway 74 (SR 74) running east and west and State Highway 79 (SR 79) running north and south. Other major thoroughfares include Ramona Expressway, Domenigoni Parkway and Esplanade Avenue. The closest airport is Palm Springs International Airport, however it also easily served by both San Diego International and Ontario International Airport.
